Welcome to the Duchess & District Public Library Website! We have new items and updates on a regular basis, so come back often. Feel free to contact us with any changes or additions you would like to see.

The Duchess & District Public Library is a small independent library which  serves the Village of Duchess, the Hamlet of Patricia and the County Divisions of 3 and 8. We offer a collection of over 6,000 items including books, DVD's, CD's and magazines. We have two public access computers, scanner, printer and a fax machine for your convenience. Since we are independent from other library systems, we control our own funds which allows us to determine how and where our funds are spent. Thus, there are NO membership fees, overdue fines or charges for any programs we offer. We are also able to order any materials that you may require, at no extra charge.

Hours of Operation

Tuesday:      10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesday:  3 p.m - 8 p.m. 
Thursday:     10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summer Hours (July-August)

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Closed:  Holiday Mondays

Membership Fees

Membership is free for the residents of the Village of Duchess, Hamlet of Patricia and the County Divisions of 3 and 8.
