Welcome to the Duchess & District Public Library Website! We have new items and updates on a regular basis, so come back often. Feel free to contact us with any changes or additions you would like to see.

The Duchess & District Public Library is a small community  library which, as of May 13, 2011, has joined the Shortgrass Library System.  We offer over 6,000 items including books, DVD's, CD's and magazines in our own library,  as well as access to all the materials contained in the Shortgrass Library System libraries and the various venues of data bases included on the Shortgrass Library System's website. At the Duchess & District Public Library we have two public access computers, a scanner, a  printer, a daisy reader supplied by the CNIB, a power point presenter  and a fax machine for your convenience. At this point  there are NO membership fees, overdue fines or charges for any programs we offer. We are also able to order any materials that you may request, at no extra charge.

Hours of Operation

Tuesday:      10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesday:  3 p.m - 8 p.m. 
Thursday:     10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summer Hours (July-August)

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Closed:  Holiday Mondays
